apart from the deposit to TON , the rest of the investment remains with operators which they should spend as per guidelines provided by the management of TON. Operators should advertise in local classifieds, print & distribute pamphlets, arrange for a landline/mobile/internet connection for themselves. operators need to open a bank account with ATM card.
the deposit with TON is to be spent for
- complete registration formalities with ROC,CE,MoT,IT and FOREX
- to print & disribute office stationary & publicity material
- to advertise in National media
- to aquire own fleet of vehicles in profitable roads
- membership in tour operators associations
- to get licences/permissions/approvals(from IATA etc)
After finalizing the list of operators, meetings will be held in all major cities to introduce operators to each other. The operators should furnish the required informaion for further processing .
Tour packages/schedules/timetables/guidelines will be formulated and distributed in print to the operators.
Necessary training is to be provided to deal with foreign/local tourists
Nation wide advertising campaign to be launched.
TON sets up own web site.
Operators on their part will advertise in local newspapers.
TON's central reservation system looks after Hotel/Flight reservations and FOREX matters.
Income for Operators
From tourists originating from operator's place: the operator charges the tour package cost from the tourists in his region. The operator keeps 10% of the amount with him and deposits 90% with TON account.
From transit tourists: The operators get the required amount to arrange facilities(accommodation,food and other) for the tourists passing through the operators place.Operators gets 5% commission for the services he renders for transit tourists.
Operator's own short tours: operators are free to organize picnics and short tours on their own for school children or communities on their own. however they cannot use TON's central reservation system.
All in-bound and out-bound tourists to and from india will be handled by the central management of TON. Operators get their commission wherever their servcices are utilized.
The operator,s success and profit depends on identifying profitable routes and popular destinations.
An operator is a stakeholder in TON. He/She is a part owner of the assets owned by the TON
