Project description: Tourism is recognized as industry that has great potential in the 21st century.This is endorsed by the ever increasing no. of tourists within india. There is also significant increase in foreign tourists visiting india and indians visiting abroad. It is difficult for one tour operator to organize allover India.

The current project proposes to establish a network of tour operators(both enthusiasts and experienced)allover india. This is an ideal self-employment opportunity with low investment. All you need to have is a telephone,internet access and investment between Rs. 10000-40000 depending on tthe city/region from where you want to operate.

Classification of Cities/Towns

To start with we have classified the cities/towns as follows.

     class A : Delhi/Mumbai/Kolkata/Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad

     class B : All other state capitals,pune,nagpur,mysore,vadodara,udaipur,jabalpur,

                   allahabad,cochin,coimbatore,visakhapatnam.

     class C : All other district head quarters.

     class D : major tourist destinations,hill stations agra,goa,ajanta,ellora, etc

Number of operators in each city of each class

     class A : 5      class B : 2    class C : 1     class D : 2

Prerequisites to become an Operator

* enthusiastic with good communication skills

* knowledge about tourist destinations near to his/her place

* ability to interact with customers/fleet owners/hotel managers on their own.

* should arrange for 24 hour communication facilties(mobile+land line phones+optional internet access)

* organizing tour schedules promptly.

* should possess an ATM (credit/debit) card.

Responsibilities of the Operator

* collect information in their region about

   - the best hotels and roon tariff in them

   - bus/cars for rent. rent/day or rent/km and other terms&conditions

   - Nearest tourist destinations and distance from your place

   - the largest ciculated news papers in the region and advertising tariff

   - local RTA rules and toll gate tax on highways

* to develop business by

   - running ads in local newspapers about tour programmes

   - maintain database of customers

   - arrange for accommodation,food and other facilities for the tourists from other places

     whenever required

   - communicate with other operators and head quarters.

   - maintain financial relations honestly
